About The Event
Come and join us in our gatherings of praise on the 3rd Thursday of every month, where we will be alternating our reading, singing and drumming to the 'Burdah' or 'Shimmering Light' poem
The ‘Shimmering Light’ poem has been written in praise of the prophet of Islam, Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) by eminent Yemeni Scholar Habib Umar bin Hafiz.
The 'Burdah' or 'Poem of the Cloak' is the most widely sang poem in the muslim world and was written in the 12th century by sufi mystic and eminent Egyptian scholar Imam Al-Busiri, may he rest in peace

October - Shimmering Light
All gatherings are women only. Refreshments will also be served.
