About The Event

Despite the Quranic ideal of sexual intimacy as a source of “tranquillity, love and mercy” (Quran 30:21), many Muslim couples see sex as a source of tension, conflict and irritation. In their three decades experience as marital counsellors and sex educators, Enon Mansor and Osman Sidek have seen how wives tend to lose interest in an activity they don’t enjoy anymore even as husbands remain as demanding as ever over their supposed absolute rights for sex.


This talk seeks to illuminate on the underlying reason for this sexual perception mismatch, namely the selective emphasis on certain types of sexual hadiths prevalent in many Muslim communities.
