About The Event

Drumming Workshop by Tello Morgado

Fusion of Rhythms - Connecting hearts with the rhythm of drums

Starting Tuesday 11 September 2018

(The sessions will be held weekly)

7pm - 8.30pm

Cost: £10 (at venue)

This series of drumming workshops is an introduction to drums and rhythms from different parts of the world. Through these sessions, you will discover a new form of expression through drumming.

The workshops will explore fundamental drumming techniques, bring together different cultures, improve listening skills, self-expression and the history of rhythms and drums.

Throughout the course you will learn how to use these rhythms when playing to popular qaseedas and nasheeds as well as how to accompany spoken word performers, storytellers and other instrumentalists such as ney (flute) players, daff players and oud players.

Drumming can be a form of expressing yourself. A spiritual journey for some. By connecting with yourself spiritually, you connect with the Divine.
