Rumi's Book Club: Trevor Noah, Born A Crime

We’re excited to announce our next book club choice: “Born a Crime” by Trevor Noah. To connect with January’s theme of ‘Understanding the Self’ at Rumi’s Cave, we will be reading Noah’s autobiography which charts his journey from growing up as a young boy in apartheid South Africa to becoming the host of The Daily Show in the US. The book recounts the contrasts in his life, from being hidden because the mixed-race relationship between his parents was considered illegal in South Africa at the time and living with poverty to eventually becoming a household name across the world.
