Salaam Saturdays: Lunar months in the Islamic Calendar

Salaam Saturdays (previously held on a Sunday). Is a staple monthly event at Rumi's Cave that has run for nearly 7 years. Led by Spiritual advisor and Sheikh of Rumi's Cave / Chairman, Sheikh Babikir.

Salaams Saturdays is a chance for those who want to delve deeper into the inner philosophies of the Islamic faith understanding concepts of morality, test and trials, heaven and hell and more.

This month we will primarily focusing on the Islamic Lunar calendar its spiritual basis in our religion and why Muslims are so fixated on the moon! 🌙 🌝 🌚 From its governance of our yearly calendar to its metaphysical understanding we will be looking at its importance in the governance of our weeks, months and yearly cycles.

Salaams Saturdays is a free event however we have incorporated a sliding scale for donations going back to support our social care programmes supporting the most vulnerable in society. Find out more on our website.
