Soapbox Sunday: The Age Of Disinformation

FAKE NEWS! MISINFORMATION! ORWELLIAN!

With the current American President Trump claiming the media broadcasts fake news, can we as individuals ascertain what truly is factual information or provocation for geo-political reasons. Some say even an intentional dumbing down of society or distraction techniques from real worldwide issues. With shows like the Messiah with a mass marketing campaign and billboards around London promoting the slogan "will he convert you / will he con you." Islam like many other religions is being brought to the threshold of entertainment taking traditional understandings and skewing that reality for popular culture. Which many have found to be provocative. Is this blurring of tradition intentional? Are all doctrines now being made into fantasy to secularise society at large.
