The Alchemy of Grief:

As we witness ongoing oppression, we ache as one body. We feel the wounds of our sisters and brothers from Gaza to Sudan and beyond. Our hearts are broken. We were meant to be witnesses to this. What are we doing with these broken hearts? How do we use our brokenness to support liberation movements? How do we mend the cracks and revive our souls? We are not meant to grieve and remain in the grieving. We were commanded, by Allah, through His beloved Muhammad ﷺ, “grieve not!” The question is not, how do we contain all this grief? The proper question we must ask is: how do we allow this grief to transform us and transform the world? This is alchemy.
