About The Event

Rumi's and Beacon Books presents:

"The heart that is alive with love lives forever."

Join us where author Jamiluddin Morris will be reading parables from respected mystic Persian poet Hafiz of Shiraz. His life and poems have been the subject of much analysis, commentary and interpretation, influencing post-14th century Persian writing more than any other author

Jamiluddin Morris will be reading from his works "the collected Ghazels of Hafiz." Hafiz, the present volume is the first of four volumes that (together with the appendix) contain the 573 poems of the entire collection of ghazals presented by Wilberforce-Clarke; of these 486 are in the main body of the four volumes and are accompanied by the original Farsi and a transliteration in ‘roman’ script. The set will be on offer on the night with a 20% discount.
