About The Event
Big revolutions are plotted in small rooms. What is it possible to do as Muslims, to counter systems of oppression? Although the Empires have fallen, from an occupation of lands, we have entered times of the occupation of minds. Looking at Professor Hussein Bulhan’s concept of ‘metacolonialism’, this presentation explores how small organisations and local actions resist dominant norms, and build space for healing, growth and self-determination. Come to Rumi's where we will discussing these concepts and more led by Dr William Barylo an event not to be missed!
